	The Photographer


		Jackie loves photography as it allows her to exercise her artistic talents in yet another way. Again it is wildlife and nature that calls to her. She is ever on the lookout for that next picture, her keen eye picking out a deer at the forests edge, a fox crossing the field or something unusual in the tree boughs.

She strives to capture wildlife in their natural environment and in their natural poses. Over the years she has amassed a huge library of photos (numbering over one hundred thousand). Her collections include most Canadian wildlife, whether it be the more commonly seen such as deer, fox, canadian geese or the rarer grizzly, wolverine and musk ox.
Her collection also includes a huge number of locations throughout the Maritimes, from the famous (Peggy's Cove & Kejimkujik) to the obscure (places off the beaten path where her adventures have taken her).

When photographing wildlife, her patience helps her tremendously, as she approaches her subject slowly so as not to frighten it away. Here she applies her knowledge of wildlife, knowing just how close she can approach without them taking flight.

Constantly researching for her upcoming works, Jackie finds her way into a multitude of ecosystems. Her artist’s eye identifies an elegant background in subjects the average person would walk by without even noticing ... beach grass on a wind swept dune, a moss covered stump, yellowing ferns touched by frost.
